Introducing: A Monthly Book Request Forum
Need a book rec? Leave a comment to make a request!
I receive hundreds of DMs weekly on Instagram requesting specific book recs, and while I try to get to as many as I can, honestly the chances of me getting to yours is low. But via this Monthly Book Request Forum you are guaranteed a response and book rec from me (and hopefully from other community members who may have a rec to share as well!)
While this post and the comment section can be viewed by everyone, for now only paid subscribers will be able to leave a comment to make a book rec request. It’s a small perk of being a paid subscriber that everyone can benefit from. Hopefully you find the requests and recommendations helpful and relevant to you and your littles as well!
The comment section will stay live through Friday- so make sure to submit your requests within this time frame. After it’s closed, this post will always be available in the archive to refer back to any titles~ but otherwise, stay tuned for next month’s Book Request Forum. These Request Forums will go live on the second week of each month.
Note: While I will do my best to provide a recommendation for every request, for very specific/ uncommon requests~ unfortunately there isn’t always a book out there yet to meet the need. I will let you know if that is the case~ and perhaps this will be inspiration to write a book of your own to address this topic!
So happy reading and requesting, Friends! I look forward to seeing what pops up in this forum.
Best,
Maya
Any book recs for kids with Pakistani or Kashmiri heritage? Or mixed East Asian / South Asian heritage? ❤️
Hello! My 4 year old daughter is shy (but we are careful not to label her as such, or make her feel like it’s a deficit in any way). She often clings to me at birthday parties, observes from the corner during dance class, and doesn’t interact with kids who want to play at the playground. She does feel comfortable and plays with kids at her daycare, but it’s a small group. She starts TK this year. All this to say — any suggestions of books for kids who are shy, or have a harder time warming up to new experiences?
